The Grant Aid program involves the construction of facilities, provision of equipment, training, and dispatch of experts.  KOICA selects projects on areas where Korea’s expertise and experience can make valuable contributions.  These areas include vocational training, health, infrastructure, agriculture and fisheries and ICT.

Pak-Korea Information Communication Technology Center of Excellence in Islamabad

This project with the Ministry of  Communication, Government of Pakistan,  KOICA is establishing Pak-Korea Information Communication Technology Center of Excellence in Islamabad with CTTI (Construction Technology Training Institute). To provide high skilled ICT training to the youth of Pakistan and to make them well groomed so that they can avail market focused job opportunities in multi-national companies in Pakistan and abroad.

Pak-Korea Garment Technology Training Center in Karachi Phases I and II

In partnership with the Ministry of Textile, Government of Pakistan, KOICA has recently established a “Garment Technology Training Center” in Karachi Pakistan dedicated to the professional training of core engineering in the textile industry.

The training center will conduct professional training to develop skilled workers in five areas including garment technology, knitwear technology, apparel marketing, line supervision & operating of sewing machine. It will also be involved in the development of textbooks and employment of training professionals. KOICA has helped to set up systems for establishment and management of the centre, organizing the curriculum and provide support to the staff. And also has provided equipment necessary for the centre and training.

Pak -Korea Capacity Building Center For Arid Agriculture & Live Stock Technology in Rawalpindi

KOICA is establishing a Pak -Korea Capacity Buliding Center For Arid Agriculture & Live Stock Technology Rawalpindi to contribute to the empowerment of the Agriculture University through the improvement of educational infrastructure; Improve human and institutional capacities of Pakistan in the effective construction of infrastructure and agriculture technology by transferring Korea's experience and know-how to the Pakistani counterpart; Increase farm income through quality improvement and encrichment of products.

Pak-Korea Technical Textile Center in National Textile University Faisalabad

In partnership with the Ministry of Textile, Government of Pakistan, KOICA is establishing a "Pak-Korea Technical Textile center in National Textile University Faisalabad" to provide support to the business startups in technical sectors and facilitate domestic and export market development for technical textiles. To provide research and product development services in the technical textile sector. To prepare relevant standards/specifications and provide technical product testing services. To provide consulatancy services in different sub sectors of technical textiles. To develop technical textile resource center. To develop international linkages in the relevant areas.

National Capacity Building Institute for water Quality Management PCRWR in Islamabad

This project with the Ministry of  Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan,  KOICA is constructing an institute For Water Quality Management in Islamabad to provide water quality monitoring and analysis skills; Increase knowledge about and utilization of various water disinfection and treatment for Public officials and experts in private sectors related with water quality and supply.

Waste Water Treatment Facilities In Pattoki District Kasur

In partnership with the HUD-PHED, Government of Punjab, KOICA is providing Waste Water Treatment Facilities In Pattoki District Kasur to develop an enabling environment to imporve health condition of the people of Kasur District. It will also improve the sanitary environment through the sustainable sanitation infrastructure at the local and provincial level in Kasur.

Provision of water supply & sewerage drainage schemes in Tehsil Phalia, District Mandi Bahauddin

In partnership with the HUD-PHED, Government of Punjab, KOICA is providing a Water Supply & Sewerage Drainage Schemes, in Tehsil Phalia, district Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab for villages adversely impacted byt the Sugar Colony Mill. The project will increase water supply and saniataion coverage, improvement in drinking water quality standards, sustainability of services, develpoment of comprehensive water quality monitoring system, public awareness of the need for satisfactory standards of hygiene & sanitation, all of these implementation arrangements will help in achieving remedial measures for the problem in contamination of water.
