Training Orientation about 'Population and Reproductive Health'

KOICA Pakistan had conducted the pre departure Orientation ceremony and hosted a Lunch about 'Population and Reproductive Health' Training Program on 5th Nov. 2013.we are much hopeful that they will learn useful knowledge from Korea's Development Experience and apply it in Pakistan for better future.

World Food Program (WFP) Proposed a Joint Cooperation Program to KOICA Pakistan

Meeting of Country Director World Food Program (WFP) with the Director General KOICA Pakistan was held on Oct 21, 2013. The meeting covers the exchange of notes and information of both the organization's activities in Pakistan. Country Director WFP presented the proposal to the DG KOICA Pakistan for the joint cooperation Program.

Orientation of Trainees for the Economic Development Training Program

orientation for economic development trainingThe Orientation session was held at KOICA Pakistan office for the trainees reagarding the  Economic Development Strategy Program (Pakistan) training under the KOICA's program for Human Resources Development (HRD). The duration of the training is from Sept 23 ~ Oct 11, 2013. The objectives of the training are :

a). To understand various conditions and strategies in achieving economic development and to review the Korean ecoomic development experience.

b). to study policies by sector that could support economic development.

c). To analyze factors deterring economic development of Pakistan and to propose an economic development model appropriate to Paksitan.   

Pakistan and South Korea sign subsidiary arrangement worth $ 18 million

signing framework agreementAmbassador of the Republic of Korea to Pakistan Dr. Sing Jong-Hwan and Secretary Economic Affairs Division Nargis Sethi signed a subsdiary arrangement, worth 18 million dollars, on behalf of their respective governments in a ceremony held on 20th Spet, 2013. The arrangement is part of a Framework Agreement on grant-aid signed in December 2012 to provide the Korean assistance to promote sustainable economic and social development resulting poverty reduction in Pakistan.
