KAAP New President Dr.Muhammad Akram Sheikh

On December 18, 2013, was are really defining moment in History of KAAP. Mr. Dr. Muhammad Akram Sheikh (DG PASTIC) has been elected as a new President, Ms. Dr Sameena Afghan (Director PIMS) has been elected as vice President of Women Alumni, and Mr.Dr. Essa Khan (Provincial Director Health) has been elected as vice president of Baluchistan Alumni on KOICA Alumni Pakistan in the executive committee meeting held at Serina Hotel Islamabad.

The Main members of executive committee in the meeting were Mr.Asmat Ullah Khan, Mr. Muhammad Iftikhar Imadi, Mr. Asim Ayub, Mr. Sajid ALI, Mr.Waqar Siddique, Mr. Mirza Muhammad Nawaz, Mr.Muhammad Sanaul Haque MIRZA, Mr. Athar Qayyum Kazi, Asad Ullah, Mr.Muhammad Akram Shiekh, Mr.Nasir Rafiq, Ms.Khateja tul Kubra,  and Mr. Muhammad Tahir. Every member fully showed his/her confidence on Dr.Muhammad Akram Sheikh to be the new President of KAAP.

KOICA_held_Pakistan_Alumni_Annual_reception_2013KOICA (Government donor agency of the South Korea) held an Annual Alumni reception 2013 in Pakistan.

More than 100 government officials, dignitaries and media personal witnessed the occasion.

On the seminar, Alumni members shared their opinions about 'How to activate KOICA alumni of Pakistan' and 'How to apply skills to Pakistan from Korea training'.

KOICA, WFP and PMAS-Arid Agriculture University hold a One day international seminars on "Saemaul Undong & Economic Development" at Arid Agriculture University here on November 21st, 2013. Many distinguished guests from Pakistan and Korea including four former ambassadors of Korea, Experts were among the participants.

Korean Ambassador in his address said that this seminar and Pak-KOREA Capacity Building Center for Agriculture & Livestock will be helpful for achieving Pakistan's economic and rural development goals, as manifested in the Vision 2025 and to further strengthens the cooperation between Korea and Pakistan.

Dr. Farrukh Javed, Minister for Agriculture Punjab and Dr. Song Jong-hwan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea did the ground breaking ceremony of Pak-Korea Capacity Building Center for Agriculture & Livestock Technology at University Campus. This capacity building center project having total cost US3.5$ million dollar by Korean aid agency Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will significantly contribute to improve agricultural technology as well as educational infrastructure at PMAS-AAUR. It will improve human and institutional capacities of Pakistan in improving infrastructure and agricultural technology by transferring Koreas experience and know-how to the Pakistani counterpart. It will also increase farm income through quality improvement and enrichment of projects.
